	streets ofLos Angeles in the 1980s\, gangs like MS-13 and Barrio 18 wereex
	ported to Central America in a wave of deportations starting20 years ago. 
	Back in their home countries\, these gang membersfound a power vacuum and 
	only grew in strength. Without aneffective judicial system\, countries lik
	e Honduras struggledto deter crime or contain gang activities. But recentl
	y\, thesituation has begun to change and violent crimes has started todecr
	ease. VICE visits the Honduran prison system and watches asthe government 
	tries to bring peace to the country.
