The actor died at age 86 on Aug. 8. He had recently signed on for a new role on the smash hit HBO series Game of Thrones. His death occurred just four days after shooting scenes for the show. "We will not be recasting J.J. Murphy," producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told Us Weekly at the time. "He was a lovely man, and the best Denys Mallister we could have hoped for. And now his watch is ended."
