Natalie Cole is an American singer, songwriter, and performer. The daughter of Nat King Cole. After a career marked by award-winning success as an artist and personal lows as a heroin and crack addict, the talented singer went bankrupt in 1997, but by 2000 she had cleaned up her act and written a best-selling memoir Angel on My Shoulder. The book was adapted into a television movie that became a ratings bonanza.
