BattleBots is an American competition television series. The network has announced that the show will return for a second season. The competition series, in which contestants design, build, and battle their robotic creations, fared well last summer during its network debut. The show originally started out back in 2000 on cable's Comedy Central, where it aired for five seasons. ABC revived BattleBots as a summer series this past June, and during its six-episode run it managed to rank #1 in its time slot among adults 18-49 as well as in total viewers.
