HBO announced today that Game of Thrones has been renewed for a fourth season. The pick-up comes just days after the medieval drama's season 3 premiere, which hit a series high in viewership with an average 4.4 million viewers for its 9:00pm airing.
There is no word on the number of episodes planned for Season 4 of Game of Thrones but an order of 10 is likely, which would be in line with the show's first three seasons.
