As well as a widevariety of oranges and various ginger ingredients to choosefrom, they have a selection of poultry, fish, vegetables,dried fruit, nuts and chocolate to use in their sweet orsavoury dishes. With just 10 minutes to plan and an hour and 10minutes to prepare and cook, who will be able to think quicklyand deliver a sublime plate of food that stands out from thepack?Next, they take on a test that has seen even the bestchefs crumble under the pressure. They must cook a two-coursemenu of their own design for three of the UK's most experiencedfood critics, Tom Parker Bowles, Tracy MacLeod and GraceDent. Get it wrong, and it could spell disaster; but get itright, and the critics may take note of a future star.Only thebest two chefs will make it through to the semi-finals and keepalive their dreams of lifting the MasterChef: The Professionals2022 trophy.

This is their chance to showcase what their cooking isall about with recipes of their own design. Only the two mosttalented contenders will make it through to the quarter-finaland continue their pursuit of the MasterChef: The Professionalstrophy.

Theymust prepare a plate of tempura vegetables with nori seasoningand a Japanese-style chilli mayonnaise.All four chefs then haveone last opportunity to win over the judges in the SignatureMenu cook-off. The heat is on, as they are given one hour and30 minutes to showcase their own cooking style with a main anddessert of their choosing. If they fail to deliver on taste,technique and presentation, their time in the competitioncould be up.Only those who can keep their cool and brilliantlyexecute their food will earn a place in the quarter-final.
