  1. ABC has renewed Scandal for a fourth season. The Shonda Rhimes-created political thriller continues to gain momentum, with its strong viewership making it one of the network's top shows.

Scandal has been seeing ratings growth since its debut, which is somewhat of a rare occurrence in today's television landscape. In Season 3, ratings in the 18-49 demographic reached series-high levels.

Look for Season 4 to premiere this fall.

  2. ABC has renewed Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a second season. The freshman series will be airing its current season finale next Tuesday, capping a debut run that averaged decent, if unspectacular, ratings.

Set in the same universe as popular Marvel franchises, the action drama has been able to tie in some of its storylines to major motion picture releases such as the recent Captain America sequel.

Look for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to return in the fall.

  3. ABC has renewed Resurrection for a second season. The freshman drama, which premiered mid-season for a limited eight-episode run, was a hit out of the gate. The series drew a 3.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic for its premiere, besting all other shows that night.

While its ratings have tapered off in recent airings, its viewership remained strong enough for the network to pick it up for another season. No details have been announced as to whether ABC will expand the episode order for Season 2.

  7. With Fox's announcement of its spring & summer premiere dates, Enlisted's run will be ending earlier than expected, effectively cancelling the struggling comedy. The schedule, announced today, includes the season premiere of Kitchen Nightmares on Friday, April 11 at 9:00pm - the time slot where Enlisted currently resides.

As it stands, Enlisted is still scheduled to air new episodes for the next two Fridays in the 9:00pm time slot. That leaves three of the show's 13 ordered episodes left unaired. Fox has made no mention of if or when these episode will be shown.
