La Toya Jackson is an American singer, songwriter, author, television personality, actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, activist and former model. When singing didn't quite pan out as planned and she had to opt out of a contract early, she filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1995. These days, she's on more stable ground with a regular income from her reality show Life With La Toya.
