She was also a nightclub entertainer, a singer, and one of the early Playboy Playmates.While no one will dispute that bombshell Jayne Mansfield's death was from anything other than a car accident, she's still the subject of a particularly gory urban legend. It's long been rumored that the actress was decapitated, but that wasn't the case according to the police report. It seems that a widely-circulated photo of the accident scene with the actress' wig lying outside the car may have misled some into believing otherwise. She died June 29, 1967 at the age of 34.
