Boardwalk Empire Renewed For Season 5

HBO announced yesterday that Boardwalk Empire has been renewed for a fifth season. The Emmy Award-winning drama, which chronicles the life of "Nucky" Thompson during 1920s prohibition in Atlantic City, continues to be one of the network's most-watched original programs. This season the show has averaged an audience of 7.5 million viewers.

No time frame has been announced for the show's fifth season return, but mid-September 2014 appears likely.
