Kevin McCloud revisits Andy and Nicky Bruce who were buildingan experimental amphibious house on a small island on theThames in Buckinghamshire. They spent £1.2 million on one ofthe most ambitious Grand Designs ever, but the logisticalheadache of building on an island only accessible by a narrowfootbridge soon became clear. Heavy machinery was swept away bythe river, contractors were changed, and the site was hit bysevere storms, causing delays and resulting in an unfinishedand untested building. Kevin returns to find out what living ona regularly flooded piece of land is like, and whether thefloating home performed when the river burst its banks inJanuary 2015.
