The Lazarus team gets closer to cracking the science behindtime travel. However, what they don't know is that theirmission isn't quite as straightforward as is making it out tobe. Meanwhile, George learns first-hand about therepercussions of Wes unlimited time travel when unexpectedvisitors from the past track him down. Forced to reckon withthe consequences that his future self has invoked, he goesfurther down the rabbit hole find the severity of his futureself 's actions.

When the time machine doesn't work in the way they'd planned,George and the other members of the Lazarus mission are leftstranded in the wrong year – but could somebody be conspiringagainst them? As the team work to fix the technology that willallow them to continue their mission, they find it impossibleto ignore the temptation to relive, and maybe even rewrite,their past. Confronted with a number of Lazarus Projectsecrets, George and the team look for answers from the past inthe hope that they will fix the problems of the present.

While the Lazarus team is trying to find its way back to 2012,Janet is already there, hard at work with Dr Gray. After beingsent back to 2012 against her will, Janet has been tasked bythe mysterious Time Break Initiative to fix the faulty timemachine and ensure it won't cause the three-week loop in thefuture. With only her daughter, Becky, and her intimidatingbodyguard, Bryson, for company, Janet gains the trust ofGray as they work together to develop the time machine. Withthe opportunity to rewrite time, will Janet try to prevent DrGray's impending assassination? And how will she view the partplayed by the Lazarus Project - and herself - in the tragicevents that are to come?
