Chicago Med Gets An Episode Increase

Chicago Med is an American medical drama television series and an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city's most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together. They will tackle unique new cases inspired by topical events, forging fiery relationships in the pulse-pounding pandemonium of the emergency room. The latest entry in NBC's Chicago franchise has received a top-up to its freshman season. The network has ordered five additional episodes of the show after a strong start to the series, bringing its Season 1 total to 18 episodes. Through its first four weeks, Chicago Med has topped its Tuesday night competition, besting other entries in its 9:00pm time slot in viewership and the all-important adults 18-49 demographic.
