Rizzoli & Isles is a medical crime drama television series about a detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles that team up to solve crimes in Boston. It has been renewed for a seventh season. Word is the pickup is for a shortened 13-episode run, down from the 18 it got for Season 6. The veteran drama remains popular though, currently drawing enough viewers to make it cable TV's most-watched series. Look for Season 7 to premiere in the summer of 2016.
