The Amazing Race is a reality television game show in which teams of two people, who have some form of a preexisting personal relationship, race around the world in competition with other teams. CBS has renewed the show for the 2015-2016 television season. If the show keeps to its two-a-year format, this pickup will see it through to Season 28. On the air since 2001, the competition series has been one of reality TV's strongest entries, continuing to draw healthy ratings for well over a decade.
