SCATTERED SPIDER – A surprisingly young cohort of hackersparalyzed some of Las Vegas' biggest hotels and casinos lastfall, demanding an exorbitant ransom. The FBI and cybersecurity researchers call them "Scattered Spider" and say theyare predominantly made up of native English-speaking hackersfrom Western countries, including the United States.Correspondent Bill Whitaker reports on the attack that broughtoperations at the MGM Grand, Aria and Bellagio, amongothers, to a standstill, and how the hackers teamed up withthe notorious Russian ransomware gang behind the recent hack onUnitedHealth Group.
