Actor and model Jon-Erik Hexum appeared to be on his way to making a big mark in show biz when a freak accident ended his life. He died as a result of an accidental self-inflicted head wound. He was on the set of his own TV show "Cover Up" in-between takes when he began playing around with a prop gun, he then playfully pointed the gun to his head, pulled the trigger and was killed by the wadding on the blank bullet. He died October 18, 1984.
