50 Cent Files For Bankruptcy
Curtis James Jackson III, better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, singer, entrepreneur, investor and actor, known for the album "Get Rich or Die Tryin','" has filed for bankruptcy. He has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, just days after a jury ordered him to pay $5 million in an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit. He owns a 50,000-square-foot mansion; the filing lists both the assets and liabilities for the rapper and actor as between $10 million and $50 million and indicates his debts are primarily consumer and not business related.

The filing comes after a New York jury ordered Jackson to pay $5 million to a woman who said he acquired a video she made with her boyfriend, added himself as a crude commentator and posted it online without her permission. The jury was scheduled to deliberate on possible further, punitive damages in Lastonia Leviston's invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against Jackson, but the filing may put the trial on hold. Jackson did not appear as scheduled to testify about his finances because of the bankruptcy filing.

The lawsuit stems from a 13-minute video that appeared online in 2009, featuring a wig-wearing 50 Cent as a narrator dubbed Pimpin' Curly. He makes explicit remarks about the images and taunts rap rival Rick Ross, who isn't in the video but had previously had a daughter with Leviston. At the time the video surfaced, Ross and 50 Cent were trading barbs via video, lyrics and interviews. Jackson got the tape from the man in it, Leviston's boyfriend at the time. The rapper said that he didn't actually post the video but that Leviston's then-boyfriend said she wouldn't mind if he did. Jackson is an admitted former crack dealer who has built an empire beyond entertainment. He invested early in Vitamin Water and has expanded his business interests into clothing and audio equipment. Now 40, he has gone on to become an actor whose credits include the Starz network action series "Power" and the upcoming boxing movie "Southpaw." He also was named by Forbes in May as one of hip-hop's five wealthiest artists for 2015. He bought his 17-acre home in Connecticut from boxer Mike Tyson in 2003 for $4.1 million. The house includes 19 bedrooms, more than two dozen bathrooms, a gym, billiard rooms, racquetball courts and a disco complete with stripper poles. It had been listed for sale in 2009 for $10.9 million, but is no longer on the market.

Amy Schumer Responds To Allegations Of Racism
Amy Beth Schumer is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and actress. She is revising her reaction to accusations that she has a "blind spot" when it comes to race.

Last week, an editorial criticized her work as racially insensitive. "For such a keen observer of social norms and an effective satirist of the ways gender is complicated by them, Schumer has a shockingly large blind spot around race," the piece read. This week, she responded to a question on Twitter about one of the jokes from an old stand-up routine where she had said, "I used to date Hispanic guys, but now I prefer consensual."

It's a much more thoughtful and sensitive response than the original one she made on Twitter shortly after the Guardian piece published. At the time, she argued that she "will joke about things you like, and I will joke about things you aren't comfortable with. And that's OK. Stick with me and trust I am joking. I go in and out of playing an irreverent idiot. That includes making dumb jokes about race." She went on to insist that such jokes can be funny and she has a right to make them, though making them doesn't mean she's racist. "I am a devout feminist and lover of all people," she said. "My fight is for all people to be treated equally. So move on to the next person who is more deserving of your scrutiny and not the girl in your corner."

Bill Cosby Admits To Using Drugs To Have Sex With Women
Bill Cosby admits, in a 2005 deposition, that he obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women in order to have sex, and that he gave the sedative to at least one woman.

The Associated Press went to court to compel the release of the documents, which have since been made public. Lawyer Dolores M. Troiani asked in September 2005, "When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?" Cosby answered, "Yes." The comedian had been testifying under oath in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee and said that he gave her three half-pills of Benadryl. That particular lawsuit was settled for undisclosed terms in 2006. Since then, more than a dozen women have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them. He has never been criminally charged, and most of the accusations are barred by statutes of limitations.

Lisa Bloom, lawyer for model Janice Dickinson said "now we know why" Cosby has failed to appear for a deposition in her defamation lawsuit against him. Dickinson sued Cosby, saying that denials made by his representatives after she accused him last year of raping her in 1982 were defamatory. Given Cosby's 2005 testimony, Bloom said in a statement Monday evening "how dare he publicly vilify Ms. Dickinson and accuse her of lying when she tells a very similar story?"
