CBS announced today that Mom has been picked up for a sixth season. The Chuck Lorre-created comedy has been one of the network's top comedies over the course of its run, and at over 100 episodes still garners solid ratings week in and week out.
Following the lives of a mother and daughter who are both struggling with addiction issues, the series stands apart from many other comedies on television thanks to its penchant for tackling serious topics like death and alcoholism and mixing those topics with genuine and witty humor.
Mom's renewal today ensures that all three of Lorre's comedies remain on the CBS schedule for the 2018-2019 season. Look for a return this fall.
