CBS announced today that Scorpion has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama, which follows a group of geniuses helping to solve high-priority crimes and crises, is off to a decent start for the network through the first half of the season. The show currently ranks as the #3 new series of 2014-2015 in viewership with an average of 14.5 million viewers. The network also recently awarded it with the post-AFC Championship game time slot this coming Sunday.
