Nurse Jackie Renewed For Season 6

The Edie Falco dramedy will return in 2014.
Showtime announced today that Nurse Jackie has been renewed for a sixth season. Production will begin in New York this fall with a premiere date slated for sometime in 2014.

Melissa & Joey Renewed For Season 4

ABC Family has also topped up the third season.
It is being reported that ABC Family has renewed Melissa & Joey for a fourth season. The network has ordered 20 new episodes of the series, which makes it their first comedy to reach the 100-episode mark.

Along with the Season 4 pick-up, ABC Family has topped up the third season to 20 episodes as well.

Hannibal Renewed For Season 2

13 more episodes have been ordered for the drama.
NBC has renewed freshman drama Hannibal for a second season. The Bryan Fuller series premiered last month as a midseason replacement with a 13 episode order. Four episodes remain in the show's first season, including tonight's airing.

The network has ordered another 13 episodes for Season 2 of Hannibal, which is expected to return for the midseason of 2013-2014.

The CW has announced that the final six episodes of cancelled drama Cult will air this summer to conclude the series. The show will air in 2-hour blocks on three Friday nights: June 28, July 5 and July 12, each at 8:00pm-10:00pm.

The Syfy drama will end with six final episodes.
Syfy has renewed Warehouse 13 for a shortened fifth season to conclude the series. Six episodes have been ordered to finish off the storyline, and are expected to air in 2014.
"Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us, " said Mark Stern, Syfy's president of original content. "We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season."

The show currently has seven episodes remaining in its fourth season.

Fox Cancels Touch

The Kiefer Sutherland drama will not return.
Fox has cancelled Touch after two seasons. The sophomore drama had been considered a bubble series for the bulk of its run, failing to draw significant numbers in the ratings.

1600 Penn Cancelled After One Season

It is being reported that NBC has cancelled freshman sitcom 1600 Penn after a single season. The new comedy ran for a total of 13 episodes since premiering late last year, with its series finale taking place on March 28, 2013.

Syfy Renews Defiance

Syfy announced today that Defiance has been renewed for a second season. The news comes four episodes into the sci-fi drama's premiere run, where it has become the network's highest-rated original series this year in total viewers and key demographics.
Season 2 of Defiance will include 13 new episodes and is scheduled to premiere in 2014.

The CW has renewed Nikita for a fourth season. Showrunner Craig Silverstein confirmed the pickup via Twitter, stating that the show will be back, but with a shortened episode order. He also promised fans an "incredible finish", alluding to the likely scenario that Season 4 will be the show's last.
