Agent X Has Been Cancelled
Agent X is an American television series about a special agent that helps protect the country in times of crisis, under instruction of the Vice President. John Case (Jeff Hephner) is the current operative "Agent X", who handles sensitive cases that the CIA and the FBI cannot. The network has has cancelled Agent X after just one season. The freshman action drama, which starred Sharon Stone as the Vice President, has been plagued by low ratings since its premiere last month. Through seven episodes it has averaged roughly 1 million viewers.

The network has announced that The show has been renewed for a third season. The movie-based drama is currently nearing the end of Season 2, which concludes on December 27. The cable network has ordered 15 episodes for Season 3, up from the 10 episodes the show received for each of its first two seasons. Look for Season 3 of The Librarians in late 2016.

Major Crimes is an American television police procedural series which is 'The Closer' spin-off series that follows Capt. Raydor of the Los Angeles Police Department. The network has announced today that the show has been renewed for a fifth season. The crime drama is scheduled to close out Season 4 in the new year with a multi-episode arc that begins in February. Season 5 will be 13 episodes in length, which will be its shortest since Season 1. Look for a premiere in summer 2016.

The latest entry in NBC's Chicago franchise has received a top-up to its freshman season. The network has ordered five additional episodes of the show after a strong start to the series, bringing its Season 1 total to 18 episodes. Through its first four weeks, Chicago Med has topped its Tuesday night competition, besting other entries in its 9:00pm time slot in viewership and the all-important adults 18-49 demographic.

Grace and Frankie is an American comedy-drama series about two women that find out that their husbands are not just work partners, but have also been romantically involved for the last 20 years, two women with an already strained relationship try to cope with the circumstances together. The network announced today that Grace and Frankie has been renewed for a third season of 13 new episodes. The early pickup comes ahead of the comedy's Season 2 premiere, which is yet to be scheduled. Star Lily Tomlin picked up a Golden Globe nomination earlier today for Best Actress in a TV comedy. Tomlin co-stars with Jane Fonda as divorcees brought together after their husbands fall in love with each other. The roles are the pair's first together since 80's comedy 9 to 5. Look for Season 3 of Grace and Frankie in 2017.

Wayward Pines Has Been Renewed For Another Season
Wayward Pines is an American television series based on the Wayward Pines novels about a Secret Service agent that goes to Wayward Pines, Idaho, in search of two federal agents who have gone missing in the bucolic town. He soon learns that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive. The network announced today that the show has been renewed for a second season. The pickup comes after a strong showing over the summer for the limited series, where it ranked as the #1 broadcast drama among adults 18-49. 10 new episodes of the mystery drama have been ordered for a return in summer 2016.
 
Originally not planned for more than one season, Wayward Pines worked to fit the entire trilogy of novels from which it was based into its 10-episode run. Season 2 will be picking up after the events of the first season, with a new arrival to the town caught in the middle of a struggle over how to preserve the human race. Chad Hodge, who originally developed Wayward Pines for television, will not be returning for Season 2. Taking over showrunning duties will be Mark Friedman.
