The comedy will air until at least Season 12.
CBS announced today that The Big Bang Theory has been renewed for two additional seasons, which will take it to at least Season 12. Currently television's highest-rated comedy, the long-running series has been a consistent top performer for the network through its 200-plus episodes on the air.
Since its premiere in 2007, The Big Bang Theory has been winning over audiences and garnering critical acclaim like few other comedies ever have. More viewers have been tuning into the show since 2010 than any other comedy on TV, and it consistently leads the ratings among many key demographics.
The show's current 10th season has six episodes remaining before it concludes for the summer. Look for Season 11 to premiere in late September.

Midnight
The futuristic drama will continue in 2018.
Syfy announced today that The Expanse has been renewed for a third season. The space opera is currently midway through its sophomore run, where it continues to draw a consistent audience and favorable reviews from critics.
Based on the novel series of the same name by Daniel Abraham, The Expanse takes place two hundred years in the future, with mankind having colonized the solar system. A hardened detective and a rogue ship's crew work together in a race across the solar system to expose a conspiracy that threatens the survival of humanity.
The cable network has ordered another 13 episodes for Season 3 of The Expanse for a premiere in 2018.

Midnight
The time travel drama will end in 2018.
Syfy announced today that an end has been set for 12 Monkeys. The cable network has picked up the time travel drama for what will be its fourth and final season.
The renewal comes ahead of the show's season 3 premiere, which was confirmed today to be scheduled for May 19. In a first for the series, the entire 10-episode third season will air over the span of just three days. Four back-to-back episodes will start things off on May 19 beginning at 8:00pm. Then on May 20 and 21, three episodes will air between 8:00pm and 11:00pm on each night.
As for Season 4, another 10 episodes have been ordered to conclude the series. No time frame has been set for a return, though 2018 would appear likely at this point.

Midnight
The crime drama gets a new night starting in April.
CBS has made a scheduling change to its Thursday night lineup, moving Training Day to Saturday nights when it returns from its current month-long break. The freshman drama has struggled to find a sizable audience since its February premiere, reaching under 5 million viewers per episode and garnering below-expected ratings in the adults 18-49 demographic.
Inspired by the 2001 crime thriller of the same name, Training Day stars the late Bill Paxton as a boundary-pushing veteran detective of the LAPD who is partnered with a younger, by-the-books officer who is actually undercover as part of an operation to spy on his new partner regarding his questionable methods.
The show was just four episodes into its run when Bill Paxton died unexpectedly due to complications from a recent surgery. The actor had already completed his work on the series, and will appear in its final seven episodes beginning on Saturday, April 8. While the show's long-term future is technically up in the air at this point, it is unlikely to continue past its first season.
Moving into Training Day's time slot starting March 30 will be the premiere of The Amazing Race's 29th season.

Midnight
The sci-fi drama will return in 2017-2018.
The CW announced today that The 100 has been renewed for a fifth season. The veteran mid-season drama has been enjoying a lengthy run on the network, where it continues to draw consistent viewership after what is now 50 total episodes.
Set in a future where the Earth was previously-decimated by nuclear Armageddon, The 100 follows a group of young survivors who are sent back to Earth in a desperate measure to keep the human race alive.
The show is currently mid-way through its fourth season, with new episodes returning next week. Look for Season 5 in early 2018.

Midnight
The new drama will return for Season 2.
The CW announced today that Riverdale has been renewed for a second season in 2017-2018. The freshman drama, which premiered as a midseason entry in January, features re-imagined characters from Archie Comics in a noir-style murder mystery.
Executive-produced by Greg Berlanti, Riverdale follows Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead in their sophomore year of high school as they deal not only with issues in each of their personal lives, but also with the aftermath of the death of one of their classmates.
Coming six weeks into the show's run, today's early pickup is The CW's first renewal for a new series so far this season. The move reflects the network's confidence in the direction of the show, which has garnered positive reviews from critics despite only decent ratings performance. Delayed and digital viewing, however, has shown more positive signs, with Riverdale becoming one of the network's most-streamed series.

History Renews 'Six'

By Midnight, in Renewals,

The Navy SEAL drama will return for Season 2.
History announced today that its new original series Six has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama, which is inspired by true events, premiered last month for an eight-episode run that will conclude on March 8.
Through its first four weeks on the air, the series has delivered strong ratings for the cable network with an average of 2.9 million total viewers (Live+3). Its solid performance gives History another formidable original series to join the successful Vikings, which is going into its fifth season.
Six takes place in the high stakes world of the elite Navy Special Operations unit known as SEAL Team Six. Its members are tasked with the covert mission of eliminating a Taliban leader in Afghanistan, but the mission goes awry when they discover that a U.S. citizen is working with the terrorists.
History has ordered 10 new episodes for Season 2, up slightly from the eight airing in Season 1. Production is expected to begin this summer.

Fox Renews 'Lethal Weapon'

By Midnight, in Renewals,

The movie adaptation will return for Season 2.
Fox announced today that Lethal Weapon has been renewed for a second season. The good news comes as the buddy cop series is winding down its freshman run - one that fared quite well for a movie-adapted entry.
Television shows based on films quite often have a tough time making the transition to the small screen, with recent attempts at adapting such theatrical hits as Rush Hour, Limitless and Minority Report ultimately failing. Lethal Weapon has bucked that trend though, with a strong showing out of the gate that has developed into a solid presence for Fox on Wednesday nights.
Based on the movie franchise of the same name, Lethal Weapon follows iconic cop duo Riggs and Murtaugh as they team up to fight crime in the city of Los Angeles. Riggs is an ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective who moves to California for a fresh start with the LAPD. His somewhat-reckless style of police work clashes with his new partner Murtaugh, whose technique is more reserved. Murtaugh, though, starts to take to Riggs' style as it starts to breathe new life into his daily grind.

Fox Renews 'The Mick'

By Midnight, in Renewals,

Fox Renews 'The Mick'
Fox handed out its first freshman renewal of the season today, announcing that The Mick has been picked up for Season 2. The good news comes nine episodes into the new comedy's run and a month after the network extended its first season by four episodes.
The Mick stars Kaitlin Olson, best known her supporting role on FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, in her first leading role on network television. In the show Olson plays Mickey, an overbearing hustler from Rhode Island who is unexpectedly given guardianship of her estranged sister's three high-maintenance children.
The series has been a solid addition to Fox's lineup this year, where it reaches an average of 8 million viewers over its multiple delivery platforms. New episodes are currently airing on Tuesday nights at 8:30pm following New Girl. Eight episodes remain in the show's first season, including a new episode tonight.
There is no word at this time whether Fox intends to move The Mick to its regular fall lineup for 2017-2018 or keep it as a mid-season entry.

Midnight
The drama grabs an early pickup.
Fox announced today that Lucifer has been renewed for a third season. The comics-based drama has continued to be a reliable performer in its sophomore season, which returns from hiatus for the back-half of its run on May 1.
The series follows Lucifer Morningstar, who has retired to Los Angeles from his duties as The Devil to indulge in a more carefree lifestyle. That is, until, he finds a new purpose in life and starts working alongside a homicide detective to solve crime and dispense justice.
Lucifer premiered early last year as a mid-season entry, quickly exceeding expectations to become Fox's 2nd-highest rated new series of the season. Its strong showing prompted the network to shift the show to its regular fall lineup for season 2, where it then performed well enough to earn a full season of 22 episodes. Season 3 looks to continue that trend, with another order of 22 episodes for the 2017-2018 season.
