Code Black is an American medical drama television series about the staff of the LA County Hospital emergency room that treat patients under difficult circumstances. The network has increased the number of episodes for the first season, ordering five additional episodes of the medical drama. While the series is off to a relatively slow start through its first eight weeks, the top-up gives it a little more time to improve its numbers. The extra episodes give the show a total of 18, just short of the typical 22 that comprise a full season.
