The Walking Dead is an American horror drama television series. The network has announced that the show has been renewed for a seventh season. The veteran drama continues to rank as one of television's top series, making the pickup an easy decision for the network. Ratings have continued to be strong for Season 6, with viewership on track to keep it as TV's most-watched drama among adults 18-49 across broadcast and cable networks for the fourth straight year. While the number of episodes for Season 7 has not been announced, another 16 appears likely, which would be in-line with recent years.
