Fargo is an American black comedy crime drama anthology television series that travels back to 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota, where a young State Police Officer investigates a case involving a local crime gang and a major Mob syndicate. The network has announced that the show has been renewed for a third season. Creator Noah Hawley will once again helm the Emmy Award-winning series, though it's not clear whether its next installment will feature new characters in a different time period as Season 2 did. It is currently airing new episodes on Monday nights, with its critically-acclaimed second season scheduled to wrap up in mid-December. Look for Season 3 in 2016, though a premiere date has not been announced as of yet.
