Sons Of Anarchy Final Most Watched

Midnight Man

Jax Teller's ride may be over, but Sons of Anarchy will live forever in ratings history. The show's final season was the network's most watched season of any series in the network's 20-year history. The seventh and final season averaged 7.54 million viewers, beating the previous network record of 6.98 million viewers set by the show last season.

Additionally, the series finale ranks as Sons' highest-rated episode ever among total viewers, women 18-49, adults and men 18-34, and adults, men, and women 25-54. Factoring in Live+3 data, the nearly two-hour finale clocked in at 9.26 million total viewers, with 6.07 million in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic. It is also the second-highest rated telecast in network history, behind only American Horror Story's fourth season premiere, which drew 10 million viewers. "It's a rare and remarkable accomplishment for a television show to generate its - and our channel's - highest ratings in its final season," said John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions in a statement. "We thank Kurt Sutter and his team for an epic ride."
