Joe Lycett hosts the quarter final, as the five remainingsewers go global, taking on garments and techniques fromaround the world.First, they must follow a pattern they havenever encountered before, as judges Patrick Grant and EsmeYoung ask them to make a Filipino terno blouse.Delicate-looking but deceptively robust, this garment involvesdifficult-to-handle fabrics worked into distinctive,voluminous butterfly sleeves and intricate coveredbuttons.Next, it's the transformation challenge, as thesewers take on Provencal table cloths from France. Thesecolourful, strikingly patterned cloths must be transformedinto a brand new outfit in just 90 minutes, making imaginativeuse of the distinctive, bold print.And for the made-to-measurechallenge, the sewers take on the dramatic Flamenco skirt fromsouthern Spain. They must create a perfect figure-hugging fitcombined with impactful ruffles achieved by inserting yards andyards of fabric into the skirt.Who will win a place in thecoveted semi-final?
