As the semi-finals begin, only ten chefs are left standing.Tonight, they cook off against each other for the first time,all fighting to keep alive their hopes of being crownedMasterChef: the Professionals champion 2022.First, the chefsmust each create a showstopping dish based on their favouritefood memory. They have one hour and 20 minutes to showcasetheir creativity, skill and flair in a dish inspired by a timein their lives when food was especially important to them.Theten are split into two groups for the cooking, but ultimatelyare all competing against each other. They must aim forperfection, as only the five strongest contenders will gostraight through to the next round.The other five will have tocook again in an Invention Test round. Given a selection of theleftovers from the previous challenge, they have one hour and30 minutes to produce a dish that wows the judges and securestheir place in the competition. Who will be able to pickthemselves up, think on their feet and deliver a plate of foodthat proves they have what it takes? At the end of this round,two contenders will be eliminated from the competition.
